The Vernon Corporation was founded in 1948 as a supplier of materials for the coal mining industry. The strong suit of the company then was the production and marketing of specialty items for the coal industry. These items carried the trademark name of Black Diamond Brand Products.

The company continued to evolve by adding new products and entering new markets. Then in 1978 the company began to specialize in lifting products. We became a member of AWRF (Associated Wire Rope Fabricators) and broadened our products lines to cover all lifting, pulling and load securement segments of the diverse industry base that we now cover.

Black Diamond Brand Lifting products have met the needs of the mining, industrial, construction, marine, oilfield, steel, aluminum, gravel, tower, plastic, auto and manufacturing markets since 1978. We pride ourselves in being able to fabricate and deliver a quality products at a competitive price.

Conveniently located in Boonville, Indiana we are ideally located to serve the Tri-State area of Indiana, Kentucky and Illinois. We have the in-house capability to fabricate, test and certify all of our slings and rigging. We have a large selection of fittings for the wire rope, chain and nylon sling market. We also have a large selection of wire rope from 1/16 to 4-3/4 as well as chain of all grades up to 1-1/2.

The Vernon Corporation services what we sell. We repair, test and re-certify slings, hoists, plate clamps and other lifting devices. We are a full service rig shop that is committed to providing our services on a continuous basis, regardless of the size or value of your requirements.
